Monday 31st sees the first in our series of Wild Nights - one event per season in which the audience are invited to reserve a ticket, pay once they have watched the show, and only pay what they thought the show deserved.

The first production - Meet me Halfway by Little Wonder Theatre Company - is a gentle, touching multi-sensory experience about the fallibility of memory and the childhood holidays that all stick in our minds. It's an accessible but very unusual theatre experience that brings the audience and the performers into a shared space of taste, smell and sound.

We are proud to announce a macrophotographer, Andrew Martin's, new exhibition in the Gallery 'Through Different Eyes'. Andrew takes photos of everyday items extremely close up. "My general view is that there is a photo opportunity with most every day things; you just have to find the right angle and lighting to make the photo". The Gallery is open Saturday mornings 10am to 1pm and during all live shows and films so come and see for yourself.

Thursday sees the first of 2 performances of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight by New Perspectives Theatre Company who brought us the fabulous production of The Hired Man last year.  Adapted from Old English by Simon Armitage, this is a tale of chivalry and bravery in the days of King Arthur.

Wednesday 18th March is the first of our Chippy Cheesy Classic Film Nights. Can you believe that Grease is 30 years old? Come and enjoy a nostalgic night of fun, why not bring a whole group? Go on! You know It's the One that you want.

What a busy week we're having here at The Theatre!

Firstly we've welcomed Ambereene Hitchcox (Amby) as Head of Operations. Amby has taken over from Christopher Durham who, after 8 years as General Manager, has gone to The Point at Eastleigh.

On Friday Andrew Clover is visiting with Dad Rules, the first of our monthly stand up comedy nights. To celebrate we're offering 2 for 1 tickets (limited availability). Call the box office to reserve yours now - 01608 642350.

As if that wasn't enough, on Saturday we have a gala fundraising evening. West End star Maria Friedman will be singing the Great British Songbook. There are a few tickets left for this very special occasion so do call the box office or book on line. All proceeds to support The Theatre.

We hope to see you soon.
