Head of Fundraising

Salary Range: £18,600 - £23,000 per annum pro rata.

Full time/part time negotiable, minimum 3 days per week. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required. Based in Chipping Norton. 2 year initial contract with the possibility of renewal.

The Theatre is an important regional centre for theatre, film and the arts in this working Cotswold town. It is a great opportunity to work closely with senior management to develop and manage a wide range of fund raising activities. Areas covered will include membership, sponsorship, individual giving and grant funding. We are looking for a confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and writing skills.

Applicants must have experience or knowledge of fundraising, though not necessarily within the arts. You will have good organizational skills and enjoy working in the arts, and being a part of a close, impassioned team.

Job Description

The Fundraiser is responsible to the Director, and will work closely with Members of the Council of Management, General Manager and the Take Part team to advance and complement the fundraising and sponsorship programmes of The Theatre.

The primary responsibilities can be summarised as follows:

1.Work with the Director and other Heads of Department to research and develop opportunities for partnership, grant funding and individual giving in support of The Theatre’s work.

2.Work with the Director to manage the Theatre’s fundraising message, presence and brand, across print, digital, online and in-building, ensuring it remains attractive, consistent and eye-catching.

3. Keep clear database and financial records of The Theatre’s fundraising performance.

4.Work with the Director and General Manager to sell new corporate sponsorship and service existing agreements and relationships.

5.Administrate, where appropriate, The Theatre’s relationships with its major funders.

6.Develop funding applications on behalf of The Theatre.

7.Attend networking events and make new contacts on behalf of The Theatre.

8.Alongside the Director, take a leading role in The Theatre’s Fundraising Committee, and help to action the proposals that it makes.

9.Administer and help to expand The Theatre’s Citadel Club scheme for individual donors.

10.Support and administrate The Theatre’s legacy giving procedures.

11.Work with The Director and the Fundraising Committee to develop opportunities for fundraising through special events.

12.Manage administrative systems in support of The Theatre’s fundraising efforts.

13.Work with and support volunteers

14.Any other duties that may be requested from time to time.
